Bobby Ball is a Montana Grizzlies football column that also covers the Big Sky and the rest of FCS. Three posts a week through the season, plus whatever else I feel like running.

Sunday is the reaction piece. It goes out after the game, while everyone is still arguing about what they saw. Friday is the opponent scouting report: what they run, who to watch, where they can be attacked, and how they intend to attack Montana.

Thursday is Across the Big Sky: every conference game picked against the Kalshi line, best bets called out, and the record kept on the Big Sky page. The FCS section covers the top of the subdivision and the computer ratings, including the Bobby Blend.

The premise is that FCS fans deserve deeper analysis. Formations get named. Tendencies get charted. The computer ratings get treated as evidence rather than decoration. There are also jokes, because a column that is only numbers is homework and a column that is only jokes is a message board.

I'm a Montana alum and biased about it. I try to cover your team fairly, unless you're playing the Griz. If you're playing the Cats, you're my second favorite team.
